Cupping is an ancient form of deep tissue massage in which a partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. It is used to stimulate the flow of blood, lymph, and energy to the affected area. Cupping causes tissue to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, activate and clear the veins, arteries, and capillaries, and activate the skin.

During the session small, round glass cups are placed on the skin, over acupuncture points, a vacuum is created drawing the skin and muscle up tightly. When the cup is released the blood, energy, and lymph flow more vigorously. It is an amazing way to relieve pain and congestion in the back, or to relieve lung congestion due to an infection.
