Katelyn Decker
Licensed Acupuncturist

Education:
Katelyn, L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M., earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland. She is licensed through the Oregon State Medical Board and nationally certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her undergraduate education includes studies in psychology and fine arts at Lewis and Clark College and the University of New Mexico, and she has worked with patients of all ages ranging from infants to senior citizens. She received her training as a yoga instructor through the Yandara Institute and has been a certified yoga instructor since 2004. Katelyn has received extensive training in all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qigong healing movement, Tuina massage and reflexology.

Personal Philosophy:
Katelyn helps people who have gotten off kilter to restore a sense of balance in their bodies and minds. She believes that acupuncture helps by stimulating your body’s ability to heal itself, and she enjoys supporting you on your journey. Katelyn uses her understanding of Biomedicine and Traditional Chinese Medical Theory to diagnose and treat various disharmonies that can occur within an individual. She incorporates lifestyle suggestions and herbal treatments into your health plan and uses her knowledge of Qigong and Tuina to help restore balance from within. Katelyn works with each client to design the best treatment plan for your unique situation with sensitivity, caring, and intelligence.­­­­

Personal Interests:
Katelyn enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, hiking, listening to music, playing the piano, dancing, practicing yoga and qigong, and reading. She also loves learning more about Traditional Chinese Medicine by attending seminars, webinars, talking with other practitioners and receiving acupuncture treatments.
